Side Car Intelligent Power Manager
The extension to D429S Cash dispenser makes it an ultimate solution for rural and urban self-service banking
Features
The intelligent power management system automatically switches between three possible power sources (solar, AC grid and an integrated 4-hour backup internal battery bank) to maximize cash dispenser end-user uptime. Additionally, the intelligent power manager also provides continuous power to the network equipment and light inside the ATM room making it ideal for locations with inconsistent power supplies. It delivers incremental power savings and sustainable deployment throughout the year.
The intelligent power management system consists of a top housing and a side car. The top housing consists of a charger card which charges the batteries in the side car and provides DC power output to external devices. The side car houses two 65 AH batteries and acting as an external UPS, provides incremental power backup of minimum 4 hours to external devices AC VSAT, AC room light and modem. The side car is placed outside the terminal. The side car can be placed on any one side of the terminal (left side, right side or on the rear side). The Diebold’s 429 platform’s modular design allows the integration of the intelligent power management system to the D429S cash dispenser as an upgrade in no time. This upgraded terminal is known as D429E.
The high-temperature-resistive, rugged design is capable of withstanding exposure to extreme weather without damage, and it enables deployment in the most challenging locations without external air conditioning.
