Role Overview

The Sales Executive – Emerging Markets will support the expansion of the company’s presence across high-growth and underserved regions by identifying new sales opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The role focuses on executing sales strategies, engaging prospects, and closing deals while ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within emerging markets to achieve sales targets
  • Implement sales plans and strategies for market entry and growth
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close sales deals in line with company policies and targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries, proposals, and requests
  • Maintain an updated database of client interactions and sales activities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
  • Identify upcoming tenders, pre-qualifications, and procurement opportunities
  • Support the preparation and submission of proposals and tender documents
  • Provide feedback on customer insights to support product and service improvements
  • Work closely with internal teams (technical, finance, and marketing) to develop competitive solutions and pricing
  • Coordinate product demonstrations and Proof of Concept (POC) sessions with clients
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
  • Track sales performance against targets and maintain accurate sales records
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
  • Contribute to budgeting and cost control initiatives within the sales function
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking forums to generate leads
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance product visibility and market presence
  • Ensure all sales processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation for all sales transactions and contracts
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
Key Qualifications & competence
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in sales, business development, or a similar role
  • Must have experience in emerging markets, technology, financial services, Banking or fintech industry is an added advantage
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into solutions
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills
  • Good analytical and reporting skills
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation and resilience
