About Tracom Academy
This is the first payment academy of its kind in the region and focuses on software development and security, for Web, mobile, POS terminals, and ATMs. Our trainings are conducted by experts from Tracom Services and our Training partners.
Our trainings are focused on the practical application of technology as students work on “real life” projects that will be deployed and used in revenue collection, Tax management, account opening, agency banking, merchant acquiring, payment systems integration. The students are mentored by experienced Tracom management, project managers and Software engineers.
Our goal is to build and promote local software development talent to bridge the skills gap that has led many software companies to outsource software development to countries outside Africa.

Training Partner
With the increasing need to protect information assets, TRACOM Academy has partnered with EC council to offer the best in class security training programs for both corporate and individual clients.
As an Accredited Training Centre (ATC) by EC-Council, we deliver high-quality professional security courses.
Our methodology includes instructor-led training, with technical demonstrations, hands-on labs and lectures. Our trainers are approved Certified EC-Council Instructors (CEI) with wide range of experience in delivering EC-Council’s suite of professional cyber security training programs. Having real-world, practical experience in cybersecurity, the trainers bring to their classroom a wealth of knowledge that is unmatched in the industry.
We currently offer EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU) training and certifications.
Full stack developer
The full stack Developer training program, is open to college and University graduates with hands-on skills to build and deploy functional application software solutions. Our trainers, and team of experienced developers will teach you how to gather requirements for a project, code, test and deploy applications using contemporary development platforms.

Learning Schedule
- Fulltime: 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday (3 Months)
- Evening: 5.30pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday (5 Months)
- Saturdays 8.30am to 5.30pm (6 Months)

I think the Tracom academy initiative is a great project and grateful for the opportunity it gave me to join the Fintech world and IT in general.
I joined the academy in the year 2019 with knowledge of web design and graphic design. After training for 6 months and working on projects made me accept the new challenge. I am proud to say that the knowledge I gained, particularly in web development - using tech stacks such as; JavaScript (Angular framework), Java (Spring boot), databases (Oracle) - gave me the competitive edge in skill sets required by the market for highly competent web engineers. Since graduating I have worked on projects used in the market, with guidance from, and interactions with senior Tracom devs
Tracom academy instilled a feeling of confidence in not only my current employers; as I help them build and scale their business but also in me as I pursued more ways of advancing myself for the circle of life dictates; one must first be an apprentice, then a journeyman before becoming a master.
